Tui House was taken over by Jo Macfarlane in October 2005. At that time it was a 14 bed rest home comprising of the older style main house and the 5 bedroomed cottage. Building began a year later and in November 2008 the new wing of the building opened. This comprises of an additional 14 rooms, most with a single or shared ensuite. The downstairs rooms mostly have ranch sliders to the delightful garden areas. Immediately as the building and landscaping was completed on the new wing, Jo’s passion for caring for people with individual needs began to be realised with the beginning of the building of the units.
